What you'll do
- Conduct thorough due diligence, onboarding, and periodic reviews of merchants, ensuring compliance with Mastercard and Visa requirements.
- Assess and monitor high-risk merchants, ensuring proper risk management and compliance.
- Strike the right balance between regulatory compliance and business needs, helping to facilitate growth while mitigating risks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new controls and procedures to enhance our due diligence processes.
- Contribute to the training and development of team members by sharing knowledge and best practices in compliance and due diligence.
- Perform reviews (KYC/ODD) of Business Relationships with potential and existing VIALET Customers.
- Review, evaluate, and renew provided Customer KYC information and documentation.
- Perform Customer screening against International Financial Sanctions, PEP lists and Adverse Media Search.
- Prepare Customer risk assessments and identify risk mitigation measures.
- Update relevant internal registers and databases.
- Assist KYC team members, share knowledge within the team.
- Collaborate with other teams - Sales, Transaction Monitoring, Customer Support, Account Management, Compliance.
- Identify opportunities for work process automation and best practice application.
What you'll bring
- At least 1 year of experience in the KYC field (in an Electronic Money or Payment Institution would be an advantage).
- Extensive knowledge and experience in acquiring services and working with merchants.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Strong understanding of Mastercard and Visa compliance regulations.
- Proven ability to assess high-risk merchants and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Ability to maintain a compliance-driven yet business-friendly approach.
- Experience in fintech or acquiring services is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, internal stakeholders and Direct Manager.
- Capability to manage and analyze a high volume of data and information within tight deadlines.
- Fluency in Lithuanian, professional English language skills (any additional foreign language is an advantage).
- Orientation to the details.
- Ability to cope with a very dynamic environment and rapid changes.
- Willingness to be self-sustainable at times and ready to show initiative.
