About the role

Are you a data guru with a passion for turning raw information into actionable insights and building the pipelines that feed them? At VIALET, we're seeking a driven and versatile Data platform owner to take ownership of our data ecosystem. You'll be the go-to expert for all things data, from analyzing trends and building insightful dashboards to maintaining robust data pipelines. You will be the sole owner of the company's data stack.

While you'll be the primary driver of our data initiatives, you won't be alone. Our engineering team will be available to provide support on infrastructure, core architectural decisions, and initial data ingestion pipeline development.

What you'll do

• Own the full data lifecycle: From understanding stakeholder needs and gathering requirements to designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions.
• Become a data storyteller: Analyze data, identify trends, and create compelling reports and dashboards (using a BI tool) to communicate insights to various teams and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain data pipelines: Develop, monitor, and optimize data ingestion and transformation processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with different departments to understand their data needs, provide analytical support, and empower them with data-driven insights.
• Proactively improve our data stack: Continuously explore and evaluate new data technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our data infrastructure, in close collaboration with the engineering team.
• Ensure data integrity: Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring mechanisms to maintain the accuracy and reliability of our data.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of proven experience in data analysis, with a strong understanding of data warehousing principles.
• Strong SQL skills, with experience in data modeling, querying, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization and BI tools.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery) is a plus.
• At least basic experience with Python for data ingestion, manipulation, and automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language.
• A proactive and independent approach to problem-solving, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

• Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices for data security and privacy.
• Proven ability to handle and process large volumes of data efficiently.
