About the role

At VIALET, we’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT systems administrator to own and optimize our internal IT environment. In this role, you will be ensuring smooth operations, robust security, and a seamless experience for our employees, so they can focus on developing our leading FinTech products. If you’re a proactive problem-solver with a passion for technology and a bias for action, we want to hear from you. You will make sure that everything IT-related that is used by our personnel runs smoothly, is efficient, optimized, and that our employees can focus on their main responsibilities instead of having to deal with IT challenges.

What you'll do

• Own the internal IT landscape: Manage and maintain all aspects of our internal IT systems, including hardware, software, network infrastructure, and security.
• Provide exceptional support: Be the go-to expert for all employee technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Manage hardware and software: Oversee equipment inventory, procurement, deployment, OS installation and configuration, and manage software licenses and access.
• Ensure network reliability: Maintain and optimize our network infrastructure, including VPNs, routers, and on-premise servers, ensuring seamless connectivity.
• Champion security: Implement and enforce security policies, manage user access, and proactively identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Streamline processes: Develop and implement efficient IT processes, including a centralized support desk, automation for various tasks, and similar.
• Drive optimization: Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain meticulous documentation: Keep detailed records of IT systems, configurations, processes, and inventory.
• Take ownership: Be accountable for the overall health and performance of our internal IT environment, taking initiative to address issues and drive improvements.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of proven experience in IT systems administration, managing a diverse range of technologies.
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS), including experience with configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with network management, including VPNs, routers, and network security.
• Experience with on-premise server management and maintenance.
• Familiarity with access management principles and best practices.
• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, with a strong bias for action.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• A meticulous and organized approach to work, with a strong focus on detail and documentation.
• Passion for creating a smooth and user-friendly internal IT environment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus points

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Experience with specific endpoint management solutions.
• Experience in setting up and managing IT infrastructure in an office environment.
